about

This track was "born" from something a little different. A challenge. Could I create a song where the samples, synths, effects - as much as possible - were to be created from a recording of a friend's ultrasound of their (currently) unborn child!?

đź‘Ť It turns out, yes. Yes you can do that.

Of course, there's the traditional drums and percussion in there - but the synths, basses, even the 'crackle' in the snare, are all either in-part or entirely made from the ultrasound recording. It even drives the filter making the guitar sound a little... 'slurred'. The raw-recording itself features in the song, scattered around for your Easter 🥚 hunting pleasure.

❎ No - I won't be giving the identity of the parents. I hope you enjoy the sounds their soon-to-be child has made happen. This is dedicated to them.

Containing 3 different drum kits which all play off each other for the various layers. Some kicking subs and the aforementioned ultrasound samples. It all amounts to a pretty uplifting dance track.
